Assistant
An assistant that works in the open and asks before it acts.
Mention it in a channel and it answers there. Ask privately and only you see the answer. When something needs to change, you approve it first.
One conversation, four rules.
Call it with @
Type @Assistant in any channel where an admin has allowed it. The question is an ordinary message that everyone in the channel can see.
The answer arrives in the channel
As a card with its source and the time it was read. Everyone sees the same answer, and it stays in the channel history.
Or ask privately
Turn on Private ask and the question and answer appear only to you. Direct messages with the assistant are private too.
Changes wait for approval
The assistant shows a field-by-field diff. Only the person who asked can approve it, and the request expires after ten minutes.
Ask your documents, get the passage.
Ask about a file in the file library and the assistant answers with the exact passages it found, quoted, with the file name and page. It doesn’t paraphrase or invent: if no passage matches, it says so.
Every answer shows its work.
Open any answer to see the steps it took, which source it used and when. If your question is ambiguous, the assistant asks a follow-up question instead of guessing.
It reads only what you connect.
Admins register sources and choose which tools the assistant may use, in which channels, and whether answers are shown in the channel or privately. Source credentials are encrypted on the server.
- Each source has its own scopes: read, or read and change
- Bindings per channel decide where the assistant can answer
- Connections can be revoked at any time

Bring your own AI app.
Other AI apps can connect to Ketvia over MCP, using OAuth with an authorization code and PKCE. You approve each app, and each one gets only the scopes you grant.
What it does, and what it doesn’t.
It does
- Answer from the sources you’ve connected
- Show the source and time on every answer
- Show exactly what will change before a change
- Keep private questions private
It doesn’t
- Write free-form text: answers are tool results or quotes from your files
- Apply a change without approval
- Read sources you haven’t connected
- Show content the person asking can’t access
- Copy a private answer into a channel on its own
